About the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Founded 1833 by Blessed Frederic Ozanam. Patron Saint – St. Vincent de Paul.
Mission: Through person to person contact, the Society aids and alleviates the suffering of the poor while promoting the dignity and integrity of mankind.
Today a worldwide organization of Christian men and women (800,000+ membership. Read some of the details of our organization below and feel free to contact us with any questions.
About our Local Chapter (St. Anne Conference)
- Organized 1997
- Meetings – 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month at 7p.m. in PLC Library
- Current Active Membership: 18
- Sponsored by: St. Anne Catholic Church, 1694 Bird Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730
- Ministries include: visiting and offering encouragement to nursing home residents, hospital patients, those homebound and in prison and assisting the needy in our community.
- Assists families/individuals with food, clothing, shelter and financial aid for electric/ power bills, medications, transportation, etc.
- On-going projects include a food pantry & the annual Christmas Giving Tree.
- Fundraiser: Annual Fall Festival & Halloween Carnival in October
Our Mission Statement

- To bear witness to the love of Christ in our relationship with the needy through prayers, Scripture and faithfulness to the Church’s teachings.
- To not only lessen the needs of the poor, but to promote dignity through counseling for a better life style.
- To be an “instrument” for bringing the healing presence of Christ to others.
